About this course

Instructor: Lowell Fryman, Customer Success Practice Principal

We all understand metrics. They are counts and percentages used to measure. However, in data governance, there are no standard metrics. The metrics are determined by the objects and desired behaviors for your particular industry or organization. What behaviors do we want to enable? We drive the behaviors to achieve or improve the metrics relevant to your industry.Metrics are often aggregated to meaningful levels, such as domains or lines of business. Metrics report progress towards a goal. Metrics measure the data governance value and the business benefits the data governance is achieving. Be sure to reference your business case to ensure you are capturing the right metrics. Metrics are useful to communicate the status of the program and to educate team members. They are also used to measure maturity and adoption of the data governance program.
