In this course, we will demonstrate how Collibra Connect helps in creating a unified metamodel and can update the enterprise metamodel automatically. The prerequisites required for using Collibra Connect are Mule ESB Standalone Server, Anypoint Studio, Collibra Domain, a Collibra Gateway. One of the key use cases for Collibra implementations is to integrate Collibra with other applications. Collibra Connect exposes APIs of Collibra DGC so that you can perform operations like create, read, update, delete.

We will demonstrate an integration template with a database connector. After you install Collibra Connect and develop the integration flow in Anypoint Studio, you can trigger that integration flow either on demand through a Collibra workflow or you can trigger it on a scheduled basis. After you trigger this integration flow, it will source the information, from a connector to an external system. The connector can be your database connector, a Salesforce connector or a ServiceNow connector. If the connector is not available, you can make use of REST APIs to do that integration. Once you source this information from their external system, then you can transform it in your integration flow and source that information to Collibra.
