Description

The Issue Creation workflow is an out-of-the-box Workflow Definition that allows for the creation of an Issue in Data Governance Center. 

Which roles are involved?

There are no roles specified within the workflow. The roles will be specified in the Configuration section of this document.

Who can start the workflow?

Out of the box, any guest user can start the workflow

What status transformations happen in this workflow?

New The starting status of the asset

Start the Workflow

The workflow can be started two ways:

  1. Globally at the dashboard
  2. Within a Community

 

1) Data Governance Center Dashboard

2) Community >  Issues

Starting the workflow will prompt this form to the Start User:

Community >  Issues > Log Issue 

(Or Data Governance Center Dashboard > Log Issue)

Result

Pressing the “Create Issue” button results in a newly created issue with a status of New.

This process takes care of creating new issues and placing them in the correct responsible community. Any user can start this workflow and needs to fill in a list of required and optional parameters for the issue to be created.
